Tiger Missing Link Foundation (TMLF) overall mission is to advance tiger conservation efforts. This is being accomplished through our strategic plan, communications plan, and this website.

Established in September 1995, with start-up support from its founder Brian Werner; Tiger Missing Link Foundation exists to provide leadership, management, organizational, legal, and financial support for tiger conservation and chosen related rescue projects and its mission of preserving genetic diversity of captive tigers. The Foundation has been incorporated as a not-for-profit corporation in Ohio , Texas and Washington DC and holds its 501-C-3 status with the IRS.

The foundation does so too ensure that tigers continue to exist beyond the participation of individual volunteers, to enable contributions towards tiger conservation and big cat rescue efforts. It also provides a vehicle for limiting abuse or neglect of other big cats including the operation of our sanctuary known as Tiger Creek Wildlife Refuge.

After more than ten years of analysis, discussion, focus groups, and debate, the Strategic Planning Committee selected numerous conservation measures to serve these needs.

What's new at TMLF?

The Strategic Planning Committee developed a new supposition. A Global Vision for Tigers: 20/20 that maps out a new Tiger Link vision. While retaining the organization's focus on conservation exsitu, education and rescue, the new plan emphasizes internationalization, technology, and public affairs.

It also includes expanding TMLF's roles, vision, and quality statements through its own sanctuary known as Tiger Creek Wildlife Refuge. Because a key component of the plan is public affairs, TMLF also developed an association wide communications plan to ensure that its key messages are heard by other NGO's, government regulators, the media, and the public. The plan is being implemented to better serve tigers in their plight for survival.
